About Us

The ZIMBABWE EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION (formerly called the Horse Society of Zimbabwe and previously called The Rhodesian Horse Society) was founded in 1954 by the amalgamation of the Bulawayo Showing and Jumping Association and the Mashonaland Horse Society. Currently the Federation is composed of two branches, Mashonaland and Matebeleland. The Zimbabwe Equestrian Federation is the National Federation that represents equestrian sport in Zimbabwe. We have been a member of the FEI (the International body) for over 50 years now.
